Description

Feidragon are a semi-open species. You are free to create your own with unlimited common traits and uncommon traits, plus one rare trait. (please tag me so I can see them!) Mythical traits can be acquired through pre-made designs or special egg distribution adoptions. Additional info about the species and the traits they have can be found below.

Feidragon (Fay-druh-gone) are curious, spritely little dragonoids that walk the border between dragons and Fae folk. These magic-wielding creatures stand at a full grown height of between one and three feet tall, and help maintain the environment around them. While many live in forests, these hardy creatures can be found almost anywhere, including urban cities.
Feidragon can and will eat anything, including meat, fruits, veggies, and random debris they find on the ground. Their teeth are primarily used to crush and grind, and have slightly dulled points. Feidragons use their antennae to sense the world around them, able to judge people's hearts and intents from a rather sizeable distance, and keeping them in tune with the pulse of the Earth itself.

==========
Expanded Trait info:
==========
Belly Styles: Pretty much anything goes. Belly's are typically lighter than the color of the base, and the more intricate or more reduced the area, the rarer it is. Full undercarriage is common, and there are several variations of texture, like grooved, smooth, and plated. Smooth is by far the most common type of underbelly. Having no distinct underbelly is just as common as having a full underbelly.

Ear Types: Ears are pretty flexible. Based on their general shape, they will fall into varying levels of rarity. Your ears don't have to look exactly like the ones on display. Fluffy and feathered ears are considered a Mythical trait.

Antennae styles: Insect-like antennae are rare, and extremely long and intricate antennae are considered mythical. There is quite a bit of flexibility with design, so if you're unsure if you've stepped into Mythical, feel free to ask. Antennae can face forward, backward, or even hang to the sides. Any orientation is fine. Antennae are used to communicate with other Feidragons, sense the pulse of the world, and detect ill intent to keep them out of danger.

Horn Types: Very flexible as far as style goes. Large, thick, backward pointing horns are considered to by Mythical, but everything else is fair game. Multiple horn types can appear on one Feidragon.

Wing Types: Not every Feidragon has wings. Insect-like wings are the most common types, and feathered wings are Mythical. The more reptillian, mammalian, or avian the wing, the more unusual it is.

Spine Styles: Very flexible. Displayed samples are not the limit. You can make as many as you want, as big as you want, where you want. Most spines extend from stem to stern, and spines present on only one part of the body are unsual. Having no protruding spines is quite common.
    Zilla: Zilla-style reminds me of Godzilla's spines. They typically extend from head to tail, and have no clear-cut separation from one another, resembling a solid plate. Usually on the dull side.
    Razor: Disconnected spines that usually slant forward or backward and have a beveled edge on one side. They are quite sharp. Usually extend the full length of the body.
    Sawmill: Sharp on both sides of the spine. Can be separated, or one unit. Can extend the full length of the body, but are most prevalent on the head and lower back.
    Spikehawk: The punk rocker of the spine world. Not sharp, but extremely pointly. Most common on the head and upper back.
    Hair: A rare trait. Basically it is rogue fur that has grown and grown out. Can be styled any way you like. Hair is most common on only the head, but can trail down the entire body.
    Fins: Dorsal fins. Very uncommon. Kind of delicate, but able to fix themselves. Usually semi-transparent, but can be opaque. Can extend the length of the body.

Pupil shapes: Blind Feidragon have oracular abilities and are considered Mythical. Shaped pupils are also considered conditionally Mythical.

Tails: Multiple tails are rare, and having more than five tails is considered Mythical. No other restrictions.

Lung Subtype: The Lung Feidragon subtype is a more east-asian subspecies of Feidragon. They usally have whiskers on their faces, a slightly larger mouth, and have reversed rarity in the spines category. Find and hair are very common in the Lung subspecies, and spikes are extremely uncommon. Draco-style horns are very common and all other horn types have reversed rarity. (IE, common horns like Nub are rare, and rare horns like Unicorn are common.) The Lung Subtype is very rare.

Woolen Subtype: The Woolen Feidragon subspecies is only found at extremely cold temperatures and high altitudes. They are known for their bodies covered in fluff. Cherub wings and Angel style ears are very common among this subspecies. They usually have diluted fur coloration to help them blend with the environment. All other traits have the same rarity as the trait sheet.

Emotional Spectrum: Feidragon's broadcast their emotions very clearly. Normally, the color of their antennae match their lightest gradient. However, when feeling particularly strongly, their antennae will color shift to match their mood. If they have ears, their ear will often reflect their mood as well. The colors displayed in the trait sheet are not absolute. Emotions can be any tint, saturation, or hue of their given colors.
    Default: matches the color of the lightest gradient found on the body. Feidragon antennae display their default color whenever the Feidragon is not experiencing any particular emotion.
    Alert: Somewhere within the yellow-gold spectrum. When a Feidragon is uncomfortable or vulnerable, they may display this color both to signify that they themselves are being extra vigilant, and to let others around them know that there may be something nearby that warrants extra caution.
    Afraid: Within the purple spectrum. Usually dark purple or plum, but lighter purples are also possible. Feidragons only display this color when truly frightened.
    Embarassed: The entire pink spectrum, including true pinks, magentas, and hot pinks. A feidragon will display this color prominently when they are feeling shy or coquettish. Excessive flattery and headpats are known to cause such things.
    Angry: Red spectrum. Any hue, saturation, or tint that isn't pink. It takes a lot of effort to make the typically easy-going Feidragon angry. Anger is accompanied by threat displays and somewhat pathetic attempts at scratching the offender.
    Disgusted: The entire green spectrum. Usually dark greens, but intensity may even vary with the level of disgust. Feidragons get disgusted from time to time, just like everyone else. Maybe they ate a bad berry, or maybe that bush over there smells really bad. Who knows?
    Surprised: Orange spectrum. Range from yellow-orange to red-orange, and everything in between. If you should managed to successfully jumpscare a Feidragon, you might end up seeing this color a lot. Usually associated with negative surprise, like being unexpectedly poked or spotted, but positive surprise happens as well.
    Sad: Light blue and blue-green spectrum. Feidragon display this color when they are feeling down. Being quite empathetic, they are prone to catching each other's blues. Literally.
    Happy: Medium-Dark blues. Including ultramarine. When Feidragon's are extremely happy, they may display this color. Happiness is just as contagious as sadness, so you can easily end up with an entire group of very happy critters.
